Enhancing The University
Smooth transfer of the experienced team on the ground as well as an experience of high level sports pitch maintenance and renovation were just two for the reasons why the Gavin Jones Group have been awarded the 3 year Cardiff Metropolitan University Grounds & Sports Pitch Maintenance Contract.
The start up was carefully managed & organised to ensure the smooth transition of operatives & equipment by the Business Development, Health & Safety Departments & Operations Teams.
Speaking at the launch day, the University’s Estate Manager Glen Roberts was keen to emphasize the award was based on quality & expertise “Gavin Jones’s reputation for delivering excellent service & staff development is second to none & we are keen to establish a good working relationship to enhance both the facilities and the team”.
Gavin Jones Ltd Managing Director Will Clark, who also attended the day said “We are delighted to have been awarded such a prestigious & key contract in our portfolio & are looking forward to help enhance the University’s landscape & sports facilities whilst working in partnership to achieve joint sustainability policies”.
Formerly known as UWIC, the University has an enviable reputation for Sport and is also home to the National Athletics Centre and hosts International Rugby & Football teams who are in the Welsh capital to play at the nearby Millennium Stadium.
GROUNDS MAINTENANCE: At four Campuses and Halls of Residence sites across the City.
SPORTS PITCH MAINTENANCE: The Cyncoed Campus provides natural & artificial facilities for the University as well as high profile professional visiting teams and associations.
SUSTAINABILITY PROJECTS: The innovative IMPACT Planting scheme will be implemented to provide ecological and sustainable herbaceous borders across the Estate
