Brighton Park – The Level is closed to the public for more than nine months while a £2.3m lottery grant restoration project is under way.
Phases I, 2 and 3 of the restoration have been funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund Parks for People scheme secured by LUC earlier this year. Gavin Jones team of dedicated staff commenced work in the 8.5 acre park at the beginning of October.

–   New planting and lawns incorporating wildflower areas

–   Rose Walk improvements
–   Interactive water play feature

–   Three specific job opportunities – Site admin assistant, Yard person/banksman and as apprentice

The skateboard park will provide a sports facility, whilst the fountain will integrate MacLaren features and reintroduce the model boating pond. The pavilions will be restored to provide areas for talks, community groups and exhibitions.
