“The Longines Global Champions Tour is the World’s premier five-star show jumping event.”
After hosting the Tour for the first time in 2013 at The Olympic Park, the venue for this season was Horse Guards Parade Ground, which hosted the eleventh leg of the 2014 Longines Global Champions Tour in August.
With the unmistakable backdrops of some of the capital’s most iconic landmarks providing a fitting and spectacular setting for the 3 day event, an innovative and secure logistical plan was essential in this challenging and unique setting for our Events Team to flourish in front of the World’s elite.
Commissioned floral displays adorned VIP Hospitality reception areas and tables provided an elegant, yet relaxed social setting attracting high-profile show jumping enthusiasts such as H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco, Princess Caroline of Hanover, Sir Roger Moore and Bruce Springsteen.
Luxurious curved Rattan seating areas were complemented with specimen standard yew trees, buxus balls, grasses and accented flowers designed to allow guests to relax between boutique shopping and watching the world class show jumping in the Shopping Village.
Novel Topiary Arrows direct VIP’s to the Prestige Hospitality and half standard Laurus nobilis stand tall for exterior and interior entrances and large Cupressus leylandii for stair and ramp entrances give structure and elegance.
Specimen plants and bespoke floristry are a reflection of the events style and refinement and thus were evident in the TV Studio and Press Conference areas.
