The Portman Estate & St Edwards Primary School, Lisson Grove

St Edwards Primary School have been very busy planting in and around their school. Kate from their Baker Street Quarter, along with her fabulous team of volunteers including our Gavin Jones grounds maintenance crew worked with the children to regenerate the soil and plant new climbers as well as plants in all of our planters. They also worked on the school vegetable allotment and planted lettuce, carrots and onions!

Douglas Vieira was absolutely brilliant, we had 9 volunteers also 24 kids with us for the day and he was amazing.  He got the volunteers organised and the kids thought he was brilliant. He made sure they all got to weed, dig and plant and actually they ended up doing more work than our volunteers. It really wouldn’t have been half the success if it wasn’t for the support of Gavin Jones, and Douglas in particular, so a massive thank you!  The plants he brought were just amazing and more than we could have hoped for and the tools and compost etc spot on.  I will be sure to emphasise to all at The Portman Estate how amazing your company’s support has been. Very much appreciated’
